CURRENT SCHEDULE
📝 Rooted in Reading: Literature & Composition | Grades 9–10
Mondays from 9:30am-12pm
A discussion-based literature and composition experience rooted in classic literature, thoughtful conversation, and meaningful exploration. Students will engage with timeless texts, creative projects, writing assignments, and collaborative discussions while developing confidence in their reading, analysis, communication, and critical thinking skills.
Each unit is intentionally designed to encourage deeper connections with literature through engaging projects, real-world applications, and opportunities to explore ideas beyond the page through community connections and involvement.
Because each unit builds from week to week, students enroll in 4-week sessions to allow time for deeper exploration, meaningful discussion, and continued growth.
Students may enroll one session at a time or commit to a longer-term course sequence. Students who complete a semester or full year of coursework may document the class toward a 0.5 or 1.0 high school English credit.
